Gallery of Sławomir Smyk in Kleszczele
"Hładyszka" in Kleszczele invites all art lovers to visit a gallery of sculpture by Sławomir Smyk. The sculptor was born in Dobrowoda in 1958. He lives and works on the edge of the Bialowieza Forest. He is a forester by profession. He calls his sculpting "the opening of wood". According to the credo of Michelangelo, he removes superfluous layers of material and extracts only the most beautiful from it. In art, he approached abstraction and large synthesis, so critics compare his work to the sculptures of the famous Henry Moore. He says that he is a co-creator of his works - the first creator is nature.
Sławomir Smyk's works have been awarded and honored at many exhibitions and competitions. The sculptures are in collections of famous people in the country and abroad.
The gallery is located in the Municipal Center of Culture, Sport and Recreation in Kleszczele / ul. 1 Maja 19, tel. 85 681 80 54 /.
