Amethyst Chamber in Kleszczele
In Kleszczele, there is one of the largest amethyst collections in Poland, which has been created for over 50 years. The owner of the collection is a resident of Kleszczele - Mikołaj Podłaszczyk, born in Białowieża in 1931, a graduate of the aviation of the Military University of Technology. His professional life enabled him to acquire specimens for the collection of minerals from around the world: Brazil, Madagascar, Vietnam, China and India. Polish stones constitute 1/5 of the collection. Most collections are made of amethyst geodes that occupy a special place in the heart of Mr. Nicholas. As he says: "Even in the Museum of the Earth there are no such beautiful, large amethyst as my".
