CZEREMCHA – cerkiew p.w. Matki Bożej Miłującej
CZEREMCHA - the Orthodox church of Our Lady of Love.
There are two Temples in the Czeremcha parish. One of them is a cemetery chapel in Czeremcha Village. According to official sources, it was created in the 17th century. However, some sources indicate that the chapel was already in the fifteenth century. The second temple is in Czeremcha. The parish in Czeremcha was erected quite late in 1986, first in Czeremcha Village, because there was no Orthodox church at the station.
Thanks to the efforts of the residents and parish priest, permission was obtained for the construction of the parish Orthodox Church. On November 11, 1987, the cornerstone was laid for the construction of a brick Orthodox temple in Czeremcha. At that time, the parish priest was late. Ks. Mirosław Oreszuk. In 1988, priest became priest. Jerzy Plis, who is up to now. Thanks to the great sacrifice of the inhabitants of Czeremcha, the new temple was built very quickly, because already on December 11, 1991, services began to take place.
Consecration of the church was made by Metropolitan of Warsaw and entire Poland, late Basil. Up to now finishing works are under way. The Orthodox church is dedicated to the Athenian icon of the Mother of God "Miłującej". Which holiday we celebrate on June 24.
