Route: Hajnówka - Białowieża - Narew - Łapy - Suraż - Tykocin - Goniądz - Lipsk - Stary Folwark - Węgorzewo - Kętrzyn. This is the longest bicycle trail in the province. It runs through four national parks - Białowieski, Narwiański, Biebrzański and Wigierski. Following the stork's footsteps, the tourist learns about the natural and cultural values ​​of Podlasie. Białowieża - Land of Forest Wanderings, Narewka - Land of Good Winds, Land of Open Shutters - the route links those places that you just have to see. The patchwork of fields and meadows, crossed by the riverbed of the Narew and Narewka rivers, and the ubiquitous nature of the primeval forest make this trail even more attractive. The trail runs through the most valuable natural areas not only in Poland, but also in Europe. It connects the most beautiful places of the Podlasie Voivodeship, including 4 national parks: Bialowieza - the oldest Polish national park, inscribed on the World Heritage List - bison refuge, Narwiański - called Polish Amazonia, Biebrzański - the largest national park in Poland - moose refuge and paradise for ornithologists, Wigry - a lake complex that is one of the most interesting and priceless landscapes of our country. Podlaski Stork Trail is the longest marked cycling route of the Podlasie Voivodeship, 414.5 km long. Thanks to information boards, you can get to know the life and customs of White Stork and learn about localities and tourist attractions along the trail. Podlaski Stork Trail belongs to the Greenways network in Poland. Greenways are routes of natural and cultural heritage, created along rivers, traditional, historic trade routes, natural corridors of nature and railways. These are bicycle, pedestrian, water, and other routes for non-motorized forms of transport and travel. Green routes connect regions, tourist attractions and local social initiatives, support the development of environmentally friendly tourism and recreation, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle. They provide an opportunity to improve the quality of life and the environment, and also revitalize the local economy while respecting natural, landscape and cultural resources www.greenways.pl .
