Orthodox Temples Trail (yellow)
Route of the trail:
Białystok - Dojlidy - Halickie - Zwierki - Pasynki - Zabłudów - Ostrówki - Pawły - Ryboły - bridge over the Narew River - Ploski - Knorozy - Chraboły - Rajsk - Haćki - Hryniewicze Duże - Bielsk Podlaski - Parcewo - Orla - Szczyty - Czyże - Nowoberezowo - Hajnówka - Dubiny - Wasilkowo - Łosinka - Chrabostówka - Narew - Iwanki Rohozy - Trześcianka - Folwarki Tylwickie - Topolany - Hieronimowo - Michałowo.
The trail goes through the villages and towns of the Bialystok area and the Białowieża Forest. The trail shows the culture of the Orthodox believers. On the route, we meet historic wooden churches, chapels, votive crosses. We cover individual parts of the route on foot, but car travel is a great facilitation.
Interesting to see: Post-secondary School of Iconography in Bielsk Podlaski; Saint. Trinity in Hajnówka; early medieval fortified settlement in Haćki.
