AMETHYST EXHIBITION

In Kleszczele, there is one of the largest amethyst collections in Poland, which has been created for over 50 years. The owner of the collection is a resident of Kleszczele - Mikołaj Podłaszczyk, born in Białowieża in 1931, a graduate of the aviation of the Military University of Technology. His professional life enabled him to acquire specimens for the collection of minerals from around the world: Brazil, Madagascar, Vietnam, China and India. Polish stones constitute 1/5 of the collection. Most collections are made of amethyst geodes that occupy a special place in the heart of Mr. Nicholas. As he says: "Even in the Museum of the Earth there are no such beautiful, large amethyst as my". If you are curious about the world and what is hidden in an inconspicuous stone, we invite you to visit the Amethyst Exhibition in the Municipal Center of Culture, Sport and Recreation in Kleszczelach / ul. 1 Maja 19, tel. 85 681 80 54 /.

WOOD SCULPTURE

"Hładyszka" in Kleszczele invites all art lovers to visit a gallery of sculpture by Sławomir Smyk. The sculptor was born in Dobrowoda in 1958. He lives and works on the edge of the Bialowieza Forest. He is a forester by profession. He calls his sculpting "the opening of wood". According to the credo of Michelangelo, he removes superfluous layers of material and extracts only the most beautiful from it. In art, he approached abstraction and large synthesis, so critics compare his work to the sculptures of the famous Henry Moore. He says that he is a co-creator of his works - the first creator is nature.

Sławomir Smyk's works have been awarded and honored at many exhibitions and competitions. The sculptures are in collections of famous people in the country and abroad.

RESERVOIR IN REPCZYCE

In the summer we invite you to rest at the "Repczyce" reservoir, which is ideally suited for summer relaxation, and just 2 km from Kleszczele. The sandy beach at the reservoir encourages laziness. In the area around the reservoir there are: floating equipment rental (kayaks, water bikes), volleyball and basketball fields, bonfire places, children's playground, convenient car park, sanitary facilities (toilet, showers), changing rooms, campsite and camping, cafe (coffee, tea, drinks, ice cream, sweets).
