NOWOBEREZOWO - church of the Ascension of the Lord

Construction began in 1873. A new parish church of the Ascension of the Lord was dedicated in 1876. The church was built according to the design of engineer Łoziński on a cruciform plan, made of brick and hewn stone. It was set on a foundation, plastered and painted, and fenced with a stone wall. Icons for iconostasis were written by painter Szołochow from Słonima. In the 20th century, several renovations of the church were made, the major part of its equipment comes from these times. Wall paintings from the 1930s, bells - the oldest part of the equipment - dates from the 17th century.
