Museum and Center of Belarusian Culture in Hajnówka
The museum is the only center presenting the cultural richness, history and tradition of Podlasie inhabited by the Belarusian national minority. Everyone who enjoys hospitality and accommodation in the beautiful Podlasie region is cordially invited to our museum. The collections of the Museum and the Belarussian Culture Center in Hajnówka are gathered in two main sections, namely: ethnographic and historical-artistic. Our exhibits document the material culture of Belarusians mainly from the Białystok region from the late nineteenth century.
The collected exhibits were the furnishings of residential and farm buildings, connected with agriculture, with the processing of grain, flax, carpenters' tools, carpentry and blacksmith's tools, weaving tools and equipment, fabrics, as well as means of transport. Presented are permanent and temporary exhibitions regarding the culture of the Belarusian minority and exhibitions of local artists.
